Sanctuary Snow recently turned two! Can you believe it?? I certainly can’t!
What began as a a side project documenting my foray into splitboarding quickly grew into a driving force in my life!
Over the last two years I’ve invested time, and money, upgraded gear and pushed my riding, I’ve dropped dollars on a gopro and am learning to wrangle a DSLR all in the name of building a bigger, better Sanctuary to share with you all.
I’ve grown as a rider and a person, I’ve ridden lines that had my stomach churning at the top and fist pumping, adrenaline running at the bottom. I’ve been on crazy adventures where I was pushed to my limits and met some incredible people through the global splitboarding community.
Far from reaching the ‘terrible twos’, more and more often I find myself spending countless hours daydreaming about how I can turn my love for snowboarding and this little blog of mine into a way of life rather than a simple hobby.
Sanctuary Snow has given me reason to get out there and do the things I love, sharing my adventures with you all in the hopes of connecting with other like-minded lady shredders. On the one hand I have accomplished so much of what I set out to achieve, and on the other hand there is so, SO much more that I want to do and create in this space! While I still love writing about all things snow things are starting to head in a slightly new direction for me, and for Sanctuary Snow…
Now, I’m not about to throw in the towel or turn my corner of the internet on its head, but you guys need to know that sometimes writing only about snowboarding feels a little….claustrophobic.
Through blogging over the last few years I have rekindled my love for writing, while connecting with other writers and adventure lovers has inspired me to take charge in carving out my own future.
More determined than ever ,I took a leap of faith enrolled in Marie Forleo’s B-School (even after saying I wouldn’t!) where I am incredibly supported in building the foundations of a fledgling biz.
Having already connected with some hugely inspiring peeps inspiration levels are at an all time high, notebooks are quickly filling with scribbled ideas and even my dreams are coming to the party…if only I could find a way to capture the brilliant ideas I’ve been dreaming about rather than racking my brain pulling at loose threads of dreams hoping to remember it all!
You might have noticed that I celebrated this pretty awesome occaision with a little facelift…well not MY face, the face of Sanctuary Snow. The change of scenery here marks the first of a list of changes that I hope will bring us closer together and provide me with a space better designed to suit YOUR needs too!
